ROTOFARM - A Digital Indoor Garden

Rotofarm by Bace is a digital indoor garden, which inculcates the power of NASA-inspired zero-gravity technology, energy-efficient sunlight spectrum lighting and smart app automation to make it easy to plant vegetables, microgreens, and herbs. The gadget was founded by Toby Farmer, the founder of Bace. This device was designed to help people who do not have sufficient space in their home to plant their fresh herbs and greens in their backyard and also do not have enough time to take care of these plants. Rotofarm has a beautiful modern circular design that allows you to grow plants in a very small area. Plants grow faster in this device as compared to those planted in the yard because gravity has less effect on them as the device rotates every hour. With its compact size and beautiful design, it also makes an excellent piece of décor which can be placed anywhere.

How the Rotofarm works?

The intelligent app-controlled automation inside Rotofarm includes several sensor systems and liquid pumps which are driven by a single system-on-chip which helps the technology, so you can focus on growing and eating healthy home-grown vegetables without worrying about its maintenance. The bright LED light tube at the centre of the farmbed optimizes strong plant growth. The light tube can be split into four independently dimmable zones, so that the plants which require lower levels of light can also grow easily.

Magnetic Climate Cover

The optional Magnetic Climate Cover is a coloured acrylic panel which is wrapped in polished metal that cuts almost 50% of LED brightness from coming to your kitchen and attaches magnetically to the frame without any locks or latches. Within an enclosed environment created by the cover, Rotofarm’s internal steam function is enabled which is use to keep the leaves hydrated without wasting any water.

4 Steps To Grow your desired herb/ green

1.    Plant pre-seeded pods into Plant slots .

2.    Fill with water and nutrients .

3.    Monitor and control via rotoform app which can be installed in your phones .

4.    Enjoy your harvest.

·       The plants that can be grown in rotofarm are Lettuce, Mint, Aragula, Edible Flowers, Kale, Spinach, Wheatgrass, Rosemary, Chives, Parsley and hundreds more.

FEATURES

Light Settings

The indoor garden kit comes with an app that can be used to adjust light settings as various plants require various light rays and wavelengths. The light is always placed at the centre to ensure that the light is being distributed uniformly to all the plants in the garden kit.

Zero Gravity Technology

The zero gravity technology helps plants to grow faster together with the help of sunlight spectrum lightning. At the base of Rotofarm , internal power supply and a low voltage motor are present, which keeps rotating the device 24/7. Zero gravity technology also helps in ensuring proper aeration of roots and absorption of the nutrients since there will be no hindrance from the gravitational force.

ADVANTAGES

 ·      Long-lasting design

Rotofarm is constructed from high quality materials.

·      Reusability and recyclability

Rotofarm is boxed styrofoam-free in the recycled cardboard. The cover contain uncoloured & highly desirable recyclable materials which includes aluminium, stainless steel & silicone. Weight of the Rotofarm is kept minimum to reduce fuel consumed by vehicles required for transportation . Water and liquid nutrients in the base reservoir helps to increase the weight & the stability on countertop.

 ·    Sustainable materials

Rotofarm is constructed from sustainable materials including aluminium, stainless     steel & silicone .

 ·    Plants inside the Rotofarm are protected from wind damage, fungus, insects, sunburn and water loss to which they may be exposed to , when grown outside. Plus your vegetables grow right where you need them - in the kitchen!

DISADVANTAGES

·       Installation of Rotofarm isn’t cheap.

·       The farms require constant proper monitoring and supervision.

·       It can get affected by power outages.

·       It requires the use of better water.

Mistakes and system malfunctions affect plants faster, without soil acting as a buffer.

ROBOTIC PROCESS AUTOMATION

ROBOTIC PROCESS AUTOMATION: Robotic process automation (RPA), also known as software robotics, uses automation technology to simulate back-office functions performed by human employees, such as extracting data, filling out forms, moving files, etc. To integrate and carry out repetitive operations between enterprise and productivity applications, it mixes APIs and user interface (UI) interactions.   WORKING: RPA is not a physical robot but software running on physical and virtual machines. RPA is used when we have to handle repetitive tasks like sometimes, we fill in the same information at different places. It is operated by running a set of workflow tasks. It gives some instructions about what to do and how to do it at different stages of the workflow. Once the task is requested, the software runs and completes the whole task accordingly as many times as we want. If there is any incorrect data in bots, the software will send a request for correct

Unhackable Internet

W hy it matters?   The internet is increasingly vulnerable to hacking; a quantum one would be unhackable. Quantum Computing    A quantum internet could be used to send unhackable messages, improve the accuracy of GPS, and enable cloud-based quantum computing. For more than twenty years, dreams of creating such a the quantum network have remained out of reach in large part because of the difficulty to send quantum signals across large distances without loss.   Now, Harvard and MIT researchers have found a way to correct for signal loss with a prototype quantum node that can catch, store and entangle bits of quantum information. The research is the missing link towards a practical quantum internet and a major step forward in the development of long-distance quantum networks.   The U.S Department of Energy (DoE) explains how a quantum link will make it happen through two quantum phenomenon: the first is quantum entanglement, where two-particle can become so inextricably li

Pegasus Spyware: Flying Through The Air

Hundreds of millions of people can't imagine life without their smartphones. Almost every aspect of their daily lives, from the most mundane to the most intimate, is within easy reach and hearing distance of their smartphones. Only few people realize that their phones may be used as surveillance devices, with someone hundreds of miles away secretly extracting their messages, photographs, and location while also activating their microphone and recording them in real time. Such capabilities are present in Pegasus, a spyware produced by NSO Group, an Israeli maker of mass surveillance weapons. What is Pegasus? Pegasus is a hacking software – or spyware – that is developed, marketed and licensed to governments around the world by the Israeli company NSO Group. It has the capability to infect billions of phones using either iOS or Android operating systems. The spyware is named after Pegasus, the white winged horse from Greek mythology. It is named so because it "flies through the
