ANDROID 11

Are you an android user? Do you know what exciting features are waiting for you? Well, this Google’s Linux based operating system known as Android is designed primarily for touch screens mobile devices such as smartphones and tablet computers. Just a few years after the launch of Android 1.0, smartphones had the OS installed everywhere. After the success of Android 1.0 there was no looking back. Google launched different versions of Android each having sweet names (Android 8.0 – Oreo, Android 6.0 – Marshmallow, Android 1.5 – Cupcake, Android 5.0 - Lollipop, Android 2.0-2.1 – Eclair etc.) All the past OS updates were successful and now it’s coming with some more enhanced features updated as Android 11.

Last year's Android 10 update was a big shift for the operating system. Not only did we get the long-awaited dark mode and important changes to app permissions, Android 10 also marked Google's departure from its traditional naming convention to a new Android logo/brand. Android 10 was a year of growth and maturity for the operating system, and those same principles are being carried over to Android 11. Android 11 is the upcoming eleventh major release and the 18th version of the Android mobile operating system. Alphabetical release names for major Android versions were discontinued as of Android 10. Hence, the OS was immediately branded as "Android 11".

The first developer preview for Android 11 was launched on February 19,2020. It allowed the users to take a look at the new logo and some new exciting features it may have. Developer Preview 2(March 18) and Developer Preview 3(April 23) mainly focused on bug fixes and adding some other new features. The third preview was supposed to be the third and final developer preview, but Google launched an unexpected Developer Preview 4 on May 6 — following the announcement that it was pushing back the beta release for public until June.

Some of the most exiting of the new features which will be available in Android 11 will be:

1.     Better experience while messaging: Android 11 introduces a dedicated conversation section in your notification shade that'll offer instant access to any ongoing conversations you have. Also, one will be able to send images easily as they will be accessible directly from the notification shade. Additionally, it seems that the notification bar in Android 11 will have its own messaging tab, so notifications from ongoing conversations, or from other apps, will be divided to let you ignore some if you want.

2.     Scheduled dark mode: Android 11 is reported to now have the ability to schedule when your device shifts to dark mode. You can either set a custom time or have Android shift between dark and light mode based on sunrise/sunset times in your time zone.

3.     Airplane mode disables Bluetooth: Earlier, enabling airplane mode would also turn off Bluetooth on your phone which could be annoying for people with Bluetooth headphones. Android 11 brings a good news for them. In Android 11, Bluetooth stays on while airplane mode is activated.

4.     Compatible to 5-G: 5G brings consistently faster speeds and lower latency to more users around the world. In Android 11, enhanced and updated existing connectivity APIs are available so one can take advantage of 5G’s improved speeds. To help that process be as smooth as it can be, Android 11 adds a very important "Dynamic Meterdness API." It helps apps find out whether the device is connected to a 4-G or 5-G network and helps optimizing content and performance and saves loads of data.

5.     One-time permissions: For the most sensitive types of data - not just location but also for the device microphone and camera - users can now grant temporary access through a one-time permission. This permission means that apps can access these permissions only till the user is using the app, as soon he moves away from the app the permission will again be required for the next access.

6.     Built-in screen recorder: There are a high chances of Android 11 having the so awaited screen recording feature. This feature was previously also available in Android 10 but the developers removed it after some time. With the release of Android 11, Android users may not be needing any third-party tool for screen recordings. It is accompanied with a polished UI and toggles for recording audio and showing touches with your recording.

7.     Adapting the OS to different display types: Apps can manage pinhole screens and waterfall screens using the existing display cut-out APIs. If you want, a new API lets your app use the entire waterfall screen including the edges, with insets to help you manage interaction near the edges. The other big upgrade smartphone displays have seen has to do with faster refresh rates. It's no longer uncommon for phones to ship with screens that refresh at 90Hz or 120Hz, and Android 11 allows developers to take better advantage of these powerful displays. Introduced in Android 11 DP2, developers can select which refresh rate their application should run at. If the developer determines their app looks best at 90Hz or 60Hz, they can make that decision and have the phone's display change its refresh rate accordingly when using that app.

8.     Resume on Boot: This interesting feature of Android 11 was introduced in the second developer preview. Any time when a device having Android 11 will reboot, it will be able to immediately access Credential Encrypted storage so it can start receiving messages right away.

9.     Scoped Storage: Scoped Storage is a new way of organizing what information and files your apps can read – in short, it makes memory read speeds much quicker, improves your security, and stops you needing to give every new app permission.

Some other features which can be seen in Android 11 are:

·        Motion sense gestures

·       Scrolling screenshots

·        Share menu pinning

·        Air-drop style file sharing

·        Volume menu has been renamed as Sound.

·        Adjustments to Biometrics Settings and touch sensitivity.

·        Android Seamless Updates.

·        Neural Networks API 1.3.

·        Platform hardening.

·        Shadow-Call Stack.

·        Identity credentials.

·        Minimizing the impact of behaviour changes.

·        Easier testing and debugging.

Android 11 will be available on a number of smartphones of Google, Nokia, Samsung, Xiaomi MIUI 12, Huawei, One Plus, Oppo and Real Me. With the release of the developer previews of Android 11, new default wallpapers have also been introduced. The GApps and Android 11 Launcher will be available on the smartphones soon!!!

Hundreds of millions of people can't imagine life without their smartphones. Almost every aspect of their daily lives, from the most mundane to the most intimate, is within easy reach and hearing distance of their smartphones. Only few people realize that their phones may be used as surveillance devices, with someone hundreds of miles away secretly extracting their messages, photographs, and location while also activating their microphone and recording them in real time. HOW TO SEE INCOGNITO HISTORY AND DELETE IT

We have heard about private or incognito browsing. It’s the mode that doesn’t store anything in history. While it does store cookies, but are deleted after the session is exited. This mode is known as Incognito browsing in Google Chrome, Private Browsing in Mozilla Firefox, and InPrivate Browsing in Internet Explorer. Whatever we may want to call it, the mode works the same in all browsers. However, sometimes we might want to go back to a page that you previously opened. The question is – can you check your incognito history? Problem is, there is no easy way to go back to that page. So all are search queries we saw is effectively lost. Unless you can Google it up and it shows again. But if it’s not there on the first page of Google, it’s gone forever. But we can still get to know about the websites that have been browsed under the incognito mode. Yes, the private browsing mode has a loophole. You can see the browsing history of someone using incognito mode but only if you h...
